This position is for a Bakery Associate, a vital role responsible for creating and maintaining quality bakery products in alignment with WinCo Foods' high standards. The Bakery Associate will be engaged in mixing, scaling, and baking a variety of bakery goods such as breads, rolls, cakes, croissants, and other pastries. This position requires maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the bakery department, ensuring all equipment and work areas adhere to safety and hygiene regulations.
The job typically involves 6 to 8-hour shifts within a window from 3:00 am to 10:00 pm, which may include working nights, weekends, and holidays. The associate will be actively involved in customer service, welcoming and assisting customers enthusiastically and efficiently. Responsibilities include operating bakery equipment, packaging products according to strict procedures, quality control through code dating, and handling special custom orders like personalized cakes.
This role demands physical stamina and the ability to manage heavy lifting, handling ingredients, and operating machinery safely. Candidates must exhibit excellent teamwork and communication skills, contributing to a friendly customer service atmosphere while managing multiple tasks effectively.
