We are currently hiring a Bakery Clerk for our Wye Road location in Sherwood Park, AB. This is a part-time position offering up to 37.5 hours per week, with open availability preferred to best meet the needs of our customers and team. The Bakery Clerk role is essential in ensuring the bakery department runs smoothly and meets the high standards that customers expect from Save-On-Foods. As a Bakery Clerk, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience by maintaining the bakery section, sharing product knowledge, and providing outstanding customer service. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the department is well stocked and attractively presented, guaranteeing that only the freshest products are displayed to customers. You will actively engage with customers, answering questions and providing recommendations to enhance their shopping experience. Maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment is critical in this role. You will be responsible for cleaning equipment and the work area regularly, ensuring that hygiene and safety standards are consistently met. The use of various equipment, including knives, will be part of your daily tasks, so attention to safety procedures and proper handling is important. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for great food and a strong commitment to customer service.
