The bakery is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Bakers, working either full-time or part-time on-site. This role involves hands-on preparation of various Mexican baked goods including bolillo, conchas, cookies, and donuts, following established recipes and bakery standards. Under supervision, bakers will prepare baking ovens and operate equipment such as mixers and fryers safely and efficiently. Attention to detail is crucial, particularly when finishing products with decorations like sugar, icing, and other embellishments to ensure that every item meets the bakery's high-quality standards. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work area is vital for smooth operations and compliance with health and safety regulations. Candidates will be expected to adhere strictly to health standards and report any equipment malfunctions or potential hazards to management immediately. Flexibility in scheduling is essential as bakers will occasionally work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. This employment opportunity offers an hourly wage between $12 and $15, reflecting the bakery's commitment to fair compensation for its valued team members. • Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• ability to write notes, instructions, orders, invoices, and descriptions of cake orders
• 1 year experience in the preparation of Mexican bakery
• basic knowledge in the variety and styles of Mexican bread
• ability to read and write at a basic level in English and Spanish
• conversational Spanish
• graduation from high school or GED (preferred)
• ability to lift 50 pounds
• ability to stand for long periods of time
• ability to flex, kneel, bend and stoop
