The role of a receptionist at Accelerated Urgent Care is pivotal in maintaining a smooth, welcoming, and efficient patient experience in a medical office setting. This position involves scheduling appointments, handling communication with patients via telephone, face-to-face interactions, and email, and preparing patient information essential for on-site visits. The receptionist acts as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring they feel welcomed and assisted with professionalism and care. Duties include using computer systems to manage patient information, maintaining registration flow, explaining patient financial responsibilities, handling patient inquiries, and securing confidential medical records. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, multi-tasking abilities, and the capacity to work independently while adhering to company policies. In addition to administrative responsibilities, the receptionist may be required to support other areas such as the Medical Reception and Call Center desks as needed. This position is part-time and non-exempt, offering varied and rotating shifts with a competitive hourly wage of $21.00. - High school diploma or GED
- minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or training in a medical receptionist or customer service role
- knowledge of multi-line phone systems
- proficient in computers and relevant software applications including electronic recordkeeping
- knowledge of customer service principles
- demonstrated initiative and strong organizational skills
- exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- ability to work independently and accept direction
