These professionals begin their journey as Bakers-In-Training (BIT) where they learn the complex art of baking and eventually become certified to work independently. Bakers utilize their expertise and attention to detail to produce a variety of fresh bread and pastries that meet Panera’s exact specifications, ensuring timely delivery of products that customers adore. 
The role requires individuals who are not only skilled in baking but also dedicated to upholding the hygiene and operational standards that keep the bakery running smoothly. Alongside baking, bakers are involved in other important tasks such as stocking, food preparation, cleaning, and sanitation, all of which are essential to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Additionally, bakers play a supportive role within their team, stepping in to assist managers and teammates as needed to ensure the café’s overall success.
This position welcomes both full-time and part-time candidates, with all shifts beginning at 4:00 pm. Due to the nature of the job and the need to maintain flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, having your own transportation is essential as the role may require traveling between several locations. The minimum age requirement for applicants is 18 years. Compensation ranges from $16 to $23 per hour, plus tip allocation, making this an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking a rewarding career in bakery and food service.
