Bakers begin their journey as Bakers-In-Training (BIT), where they learn the detailed baking procedures and become certified to work independently. Upon certification, bakers apply their skills to prepare a variety of baked goods on time and to specification, maintaining consistent quality and flavor. Panera Bread bakers also perform essential tasks such as food preparation, stocking, cleaning, and sanitation, ensuring the bakery and cafe environment uphold hygienic and safety standards. The role requires a commitment to team culture, fostering an atmosphere of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust among all team members. Bakers support managers and coworkers to meet operational goals, delivering superior products that delight customers every day. This position is available in both full-time and part-time shifts, with all shifts beginning at 4:00 pm. Pay ranges from $16 to $23 per hour, plus tip allocation, providing competitive compensation based on experience and skill. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays. Transportation is necessary as the role may require driving between multiple locations.
