The Pastry Cook role at PENN Entertainment is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about baking and culinary arts who thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of pastries, rolls, and baked goods, and maintaining high standards even in the absence of the Pastry Chef. Cross-training across all bakery outlets ensures consistency and versatility, while assisting the Pastry Chef in menu development and banquet execution demonstrates leadership potential and initiative. This role places importance on the care and maintenance of culinary facilities and equipment, ensuring organized supply and inventory management, preparing display cakes and showpieces, and providing excellent customer service through outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates with a Culinary Arts degree, related experience, or equivalent education and training are highly preferred. Physical stamina is essential as duties require prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting. • Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to follow all production lists and ensure orders are put away to HWC standards
• Ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards
• Ability to prepare and bake a variety of pastries, rolls and/or other baked goods
• Knowledge of maintenance and care of culinary facilities, equipment, supplies, and materials
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Good oral communication skills and ability to understand and follow direction
