The role of Molding Mixer at Polytainers in Lee's Summit is integral to the molding process, primarily focusing on replenishing resin and pigment supplies at molding machines to guarantee smooth operations and optimal machine performance. Reporting directly to the Molding Shift Supervisor, the Molding Mixer will also be responsible for performing product and color changes, ensuring precision and adherence to production schedules. This position requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow strict safety and operational protocols. The molding mixer must be capable of physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads, standing for prolonged periods, and performing repetitive motions safely and efficiently.
As a Molding Mixer, you will be visually inspecting pigment levels, replenishing materials as needed, monitoring resin levels in surge bins and silos, verifying deliveries, and performing daily cleaning and maintenance of the resin loading system. You will also assist with resin and pigment engineering trials, maintain accurate records for lot traceability, and help troubleshoot equipment issues related to vacuum lines, con air blenders, and color motor functions. Mastery of gravimetric blender operation and maintaining strict documentation and housekeeping standards are critical components of the job. Candidates with previous experience handling equipment such as skyjacks will have an advantage.

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- minimum six months of work experience
- good PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- ability to carry, lift, and move up to 50 pounds
- ability to engage in prolonged standing, walking, and movements
- ability to reach above shoulder height and below waist length consistently
- ability to engage in frequent and repetitive body movements
- fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills
- previous experience handling the skyjack would be an asset
