The Cook 2 position within the Kessler Collection is a vital role focused on preparing high-quality, visually appealing food for the restaurant, bar, Grand Performer meals, and banquets. This position requires dedication to maintaining food safety and quality assurance standards. The Cook 2 is expected to uphold the brand’s mission, core values, and goals by providing top-tier culinary service. This role involves hands-on food preparation, including managing hot and cold line stations, accommodating special guest requests, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of kitchen/work areas. The ideal candidate will bring proficiency in various cooking methods such as sautéing, broiling, and braising, as well as familiarity with kitchen equipment and relevant technology including Microsoft Office and point of sale systems. - Culinary degree or equivalent training
- At least 3 years of relevant cooking experience
- Familiarity with luxury hospitality standards preferred
- Ability to obtain Food Safety Manager certification within 30 days
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Capability to work in fast-paced, high-temperature kitchen environments
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly
- Effective communication and multitasking skills
