This position is for an aviation instructor, responsible for teaching a full range of aviation courses including aviation history, safety, air traffic control, aviation fundamentals, and air transportation. Under the supervision of the Dean of the School of Business, Technology & Law, the role offers a robust academic setting where the instructor can impart essential aviation knowledge and skills to students. The compensation for this role is $1085 per credit hour, indicating a part-time or adjunct faculty position compensated on a per-course basis. This role is critical in preparing students for careers in aviation by leveraging both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation, evidenced by a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with relevant licenses and certifications in air traffic control, flight operations, or aircraft dispatching. The instructor will apply their expertise in air traffic control systems, flight simulation, and aviation safety, enriching the learning experience through hands-on and technical instruction.
