The position of Ramp Lead at Unifi is a supervisory role integral to the effective management of ramp operations. Ramp Leads are responsible for overseeing ramp agents by assigning daily tasks to ensure smooth and safe aircraft servicing on the airport ramp. This role involves coordinating cargo and baggage handling, directing aircraft movements, and maintaining rigorous safety standards. Ramp Leads serve as the team's point of contact to ensure that all activities on the ramp are conducted timely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry regulations. Ramp Leads must exhibit outstanding customer service skills and lead by example with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Operating within a dynamic airport environment, the Ramp Lead coordinates multiple responsibilities such as loading and unloading baggage and freight, safeguarding cargo from damage or theft, and maintaining communication during pushback and aircraft servicing operations. They also handle paperwork and digital records related to ramp activities, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while managing the rigors of a fast-paced and safety-conscious environment. Flexibility in scheduling is expected, including working nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
