The Logistics Specialist Call Center Agent position at Aston Carter is a dynamic role that involves utilizing two-way audio and video communication to manage logistics operations efficiently. This role is based fully on-site in Tempe, AZ, with a work schedule of Friday to Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM MST. The initial training period spans three weeks from Monday to Friday, with specific training hours set to ensure comprehensive onboarding. The position pays $21 per hour and requires mandatory overtime during peak seasons from October to January, including additional workdays and longer hours. As a Logistics Specialist Call Center Agent, you will support and communicate with approximately 200 drivers daily to verify truck specifications and oversee processes such as arrival, loading, unloading, and departure at warehouses and distribution centers. Your responsibilities extend to coordinating timely updates with all parties involved, assisting in gate operations to streamline workflow, and maintaining clear and professional communication. This role demands a strong customer service orientation combined with technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with logistics and intermodal operations. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency. Experience in high-volume call centers or customer service roles within retail or restaurant sectors is highly valued. Additionally, possessing strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow standard operating procedures is essential for success in this position.
