The Assistant Hospitality Manager role at Messina Hof is a full-time, non-exempt position offering a dynamic work schedule where managers are expected to work approximately 40-45 hours weekly and attend necessary departmental meetings. Reporting directly to the Estate General Manager, this role plays a pivotal part in supporting the growth, strategic direction, and daily operations of the Tasting Room, Wine Bar, and Vintage House Restaurant. Assisting the Food and Beverage Manager, the assistant manager will oversee front-of-house activities, deliver excellent customer service, and help achieve sales objectives while maintaining exceptional hospitality standards. This position involves hands-on responsibility for staff training and development plans, maintenance of personnel documentation, scheduling shifts in alignment with events and reservation volumes, and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations. The assistant manager will also be instrumental in promoting and managing events, including wine club and VIP functions, to maximize guest attendance and sales. Additional duties include cash handling, opening and closing duties, event management support, inventory control, and ensuring all areas meet Messina Hof’s high standards of cleanliness and organization. Leadership, operational efficiency, communication skills, wine knowledge, and a commitment to hospitality excellence are essential components of the role. • High school diploma or equivalent
• two to three years experience in fine dining or related hospitality management
• ability to use computer software for business operations

• must possess TABC certificate and Food Handler's certificate
• ability to work approximately 40-45 hours weekly including attending meetings
• ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
