The position of Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Din Tai Fung represents a critical leadership role within this esteemed restaurant brand. The AGM will be an integral part of the management team responsible for supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day operational excellence of the restaurant. The role requires a strong focus on front-of-house execution, team leadership, financial management, and maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction standards. The AGM will lead and develop the Service Manager and Assistant Service Manager teams while working closely with the Bar Manager to ensure a consistent and high-quality brand experience available to all patrons.
This role offers a competitive annual base salary ranging from $103,800 to $129,800, with eligibility for an annual incentive plan based on individual and company performance. Compensation may vary based on experience, expertise, and market factors. In this leadership role, the Assistant General Manager’s responsibilities span workforce management, recruitment, operational systems management, communication, restaurant planning, guest experience excellence, and ensuring technical skills and certifications are up to date for front-of-house teams. This position requires hands-on involvement in coaching, mentoring, developing leadership pipelines, collaborating to implement effective staffing and succession strategies, managing guest feedback, and upholding the highest operational and service standards.
