The Assistant Executive Kitchen Manager (AEKM) role at Din Tai Fung represents a critical leadership position within the kitchen operations. This role is designed to support day-to-day kitchen management, with a focus on ensuring food safety, maintaining brand standards, and achieving operational excellence. The AEKM works closely with the Executive Kitchen Manager (EKM) and other team members to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. Responsibilities include workforce management, recruitment, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to keep the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently.
The position offers a competitive annual base salary ranging from $99,500 to $124,400, with additional eligibility for an annual incentive plan that reflects individual and company performance. The base pay range is influenced by factors such as experience, expertise, business requirements, and market conditions, offering candidates an attractive compensation package.
In this role, the AEKM will be deeply involved in operational planning, staff training, and quality assurance. You will ensure that all food safety and quality standards are met or exceeded while collaborating with the team to implement new procedures and maintain consistency. The position requires a proactive leader who is capable of coaching managers and team members to uphold Din Tai Fung's renowned culinary and service standards. Attention to inventory management, cost of goods control, and key performance indicators (KPIs) will also be essential to the role.
