We are currently seeking a passionate Artisan Baker to join our talented culinary team at the Madison Concourse Hotel. This full-time position offers a competitive wage starting at $21 per hour, depending on experience, and requires flexibility to work early morning shifts, some as early as 4:00 A.M., as well as weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will bring at least two years of hands-on baking or pastry experience, preferably gained in a bustling hotel or restaurant kitchen setting. This role is perfect for an individual who thrives in a dynamic, high-volume kitchen environment and has a keen eye for detail and precision in baking.
As an Artisan Baker, you will be responsible for creating a diverse range of mouthwatering pastries, breads, cakes, and various baked treats entirely from scratch. Your work will involve applying expert techniques such as creaming methods, chiffon methods, double hydration, and straight dough preparations to ensure consistency, quality, and flavor in every item you produce. Beyond technical baking skills, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and artistry while accurately following recipes and schedules. Collaboration and communication with the culinary team are essential to efficiently manage daily production schedules, monitor inventory levels, and minimize waste.
