The role of a Cargo Agent at WFS is vital to ensuring the efficient movement of cargo and freight. This position includes performing computer data entry, preparing flight documents, interacting with U.S. Customs, and managing import and export documentation in compliance with air carrier and Department of Transportation regulations. The Cargo Agent also plays a customer-facing role by preparing customer lists for sales leads, soliciting orders, quoting prices, and preparing sales contracts. Handling cargo weighing up to 70 pounds and maintaining strict adherence to WFS’s site security protocols are key responsibilities. This role requires vigilance to identify and report any security breaches or suspicious activities.
In addition to operational duties, Cargo Agents at WFS must have the ability to operate all cargo handling equipment and retrieve and deliver documents to aircraft efficiently. The role demands punctuality, reliability, and flexibility as it involves working rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
