The Aircraft Dispatcher role at PSA Airlines is integral to ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable flight operations. The role involves close collaboration with pilots and operations teams to prepare dispatch releases incorporating essential factors such as weather conditions, fuel planning, aircraft airworthiness, and routing. Dispatchers play a crucial role in maintaining accurate flight and weather records in line with Federal Aviation regulations. Their active monitoring of flights—from departure through completion—ensures adherence to safety protocols and timely flight operations. The dispatcher also provides real-time support to flight crews and outstations to expedite operations while monitoring factors such as weather, air traffic control, and aircraft maintenance. In addition to flight planning, dispatchers are responsible for compliance monitoring, ensuring federal regulations and passenger service considerations are met throughout flight operations. This position requires handling coordination with various agencies and company personnel and managing incident and accident responses when they occur. 
Working within PSA Airlines’ Operational Control Center, which operates daily from 5 a.m. to midnight, Aircraft Dispatchers must be adaptable to working holidays, weekends, and evening shifts. The role demands keen attention to detail, quick decision-making, and strong communication skills, requiring the ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English. Physical demands include some movement such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds, although the role is mostly sedentary. Understanding and commitment to the company’s safety and security requirements are mandatory, including passing federal criminal history checks and drug screening.
