The Machine Operator position at Howmet Aerospace's Wichita Falls facility is a pivotal role that involves setting up, operating, and maintaining various process machines, such as rotary grinders and surface grinders. The work schedule is a 12-hour rotating night shift from 7:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M., following a 2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off pattern. This shift structure supports both operational demands and employee work-life balance. The pay begins at $22.03 per hour and increases to $26.40 after 90 days, with an additional $1.00 shift differential for night work. This role requires strong attention to detail, operational discipline, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Machine Operators are responsible for performing machine setup and wheel changes efficiently within standard times, maintaining quality and production records, assisting in training new operators, and executing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) duties. The position demands familiarity with various measurement and inspection tools, the ability to interpret technical instructions and procedures, and compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.
