The role of the Porter at Asset Living is integral to ensuring the operational excellence and upkeep of the property. The Porter assists the maintenance team by conducting corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic maintenance tasks under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. This position requires regular onsite attendance and involvement in the make-ready process to ensure units and common areas meet the property standards. Key responsibilities include cleaning, trash removal, and maintaining grounds, buildings, breezeways, and other community common areas both indoors and outdoors. The Porter responds promptly to resident and management requests and work orders to maintain a safe, attractive, and well-functioning community environment. Attention to detail is critical in daily inspections aimed at identifying and mitigating hazardous conditions or potential liability issues. Maintaining organized and stocked maintenance areas while adhering to safety and OSHA guidelines is essential for this role. Additionally, the Porter supports preventative maintenance programs designed to extend the life of property assets and minimizes future repairs. This role also embodies excellent customer service by managing resident requests efficiently and representing the community positively to enhance property reputation. The job may involve participating in on-call emergencies, requiring flexibility to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed. The salary for this full-time role ranges from $18 to $19 per hour and includes a comprehensive total rewards package featuring medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance, 401K with employer matching, paid sick days, company holidays, commission, and performance bonuses where applicable.
