The role of Housekeeper at KOA is pivotal in supporting the housekeeping department to maintain the high cleanliness and comfort standards expected at their properties. Reporting directly to a designated supervisor and general manager, the Housekeeper’s primary responsibility is maintaining a clean, sanitary, and tidy environment throughout the campground, which includes private offices, public spaces such as the general store and restrooms, as well as accommodation units. The responsibilities of the Housekeeper extend beyond mere cleaning; they involve proactive measures to ensure guest satisfaction, such as inspecting work for quality, communicating maintenance needs, and replenishing amenities and supplies to improve the guest experience. Operational diligence is crucial, including signing in and out master room keys securely and following energy conservation practices. Housekeepers also assist in laundry duties, debris removal, and the sanitization of kitchens and bathrooms using industry-standard cleaning agents and protective gear to comply with health and safety regulations. Communication with supervisors and the guest services team is an ongoing requirement to promptly address any challenges or maintenance issues. Overall, KOA’s Housekeeper role is integral to delivering a clean and welcoming environment that aligns with the company’s mission and guest expectations, ensuring a memorable and pleasant outdoor hospitality experience for all visitors.
