Operating on an 11-acre academic cancer campus located in Irvine, City of Hope Orange County is home to the Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, an outpatient cancer care facility, as well as Orange County's only cancer specialty hospital which is set to open its doors in late 2025. This development signifies a monumental leap in cancer care for the area, as it brings the full spectrum of advanced treatment—from prevention and diagnosis through to survivorship—right within the community, eliminating the need for patients to travel far distances for lifesaving therapies.
The new hospital will boast 73 inpatient beds, cutting-edge surgical suites, pioneering clinical trials, and a variety of holistic services including rehabilitative therapies and spiritual support. This comprehensive approach aims to provide a seamless and integrated treatment experience for patients and their families. Within this visionary and patient-focused environment, we are seeking to hire a Food Service Worker II. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our food preparation and service areas anywhere on the campus where food is prepared or served. The Food Service Worker II will participate actively in food setup, meal assembly, and service from counters and steam tables, ensuring that dietary standards and patient needs are met with care and precision. Handling cash and credit transactions, maintaining clean equipment, workstations, and dining areas also form part of the key duties for this position.
