As a Kitchen Manager at TGI Fridays, your role is pivotal in making the kitchen operate like a well-oiled machine. You will carry the responsibility of managing all kitchen operations efficiently, optimizing profits by controlling food costs, labor, and production while enhancing sales through superior food quality and speed of service. This leadership role requires an individual who can inspire and guide the kitchen staff toward excellence, directly impacting guests' overall dining experience.
Your day-to-day duties will involve managing operations during scheduled shifts, making critical decisions, supporting the kitchen team, interacting with guests to uphold TGI Fridays’ quality service, scheduling, and planning to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food quality. You will also maintain and update staffing schedules, train and develop hourly team members through ongoing coaching and performance reviews, and ensure proper completion of training plans for new hires.
Moreover, you will take charge of inventory management, purchasing, receiving, and storing food products with accuracy and cost efficiency to minimize waste and optimize food costs. Your leadership extends beyond the kitchen as you foster open communication channels with front-of-house (FOH) staff, ensuring seamless coordination and a unified guest experience.
As an acting Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager, you will oversee the entire restaurant operations, maintaining proper security procedures for staff, guests, and company assets. Your proactive approach, guided by methodologies such as the Bubble Theory and Hamburger Stand Theory, will help anticipate guest needs and set up the restaurant and staff for successful shifts.

- College coursework with bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a restaurant manager with extensive knowledge of restaurant operations preferred
- Prior experience in purchasing and production
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
- Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift
- Frequent bending and stooping required
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must be able to hear well amongst loud background noise
