The role of a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle is integral to upholding the company’s mission and commitment to quality food and exceptional customer service. In this leadership role, the Kitchen Leader trains and mentors crew members to develop their skills and become future Kitchen Leaders themselves, fostering teamwork, motivating the kitchen and front-of-house teams, and maintaining a clean and sanitary cooking environment that meets all safety standards. The Kitchen Leader also oversees kitchen equipment maintenance, making sure that all tools are in good working condition and that any malfunctions are resolved promptly. Attention to detail is important as they handle material safety data sheets (MSDS) and ensure proper inventory rotation for food safety.
