The role of a Curbside Concierge - Airline Check-in Agent at Bags is instrumental in delivering superior customer service at busy airport curbside locations. The primary responsibility of the Concierge is to efficiently and securely handle passenger luggage in alignment with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) standards. This position is critical in supporting airline operations by facilitating smooth check-ins, issuing boarding passes, tagging luggage correctly, and providing passengers with relevant information regarding flight details, locations, and directions. The Curbside Concierge acts as the frontline ambassador for the airline and Bags, ensuring every passenger’s needs are met with professionalism and care. This role demands a high level of interaction with guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage payments and data entry effectively. The candidate must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions as this role is fully outdoors. Physical endurance is necessary as the job requires standing for up to eight hours, lifting luggage up to 70 pounds, and maneuvering luggage cages weighing up to 100 pounds. The Curbside Concierge must comply with safety, security, HAZMAT, and dangerous goods protocols, reinforced by annual training provided by both Bags and airline partners. Maintaining a professional appearance and courteous conduct is essential, as is managing multiple facets of customer service including handling credit card transactions, answering inquiries, organizing the concierge desk, and securing passenger luggage post-check-in.
