The role available is for a part-time, temporary casual Bartender within the College of DuPage’s facilities, classified under CPTN19303MAC. This position operates primarily during events held at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) or related venues where alcohol sales are permitted. The bartender is responsible for selling alcoholic beverages before, during, and after events, ensuring strict adherence to all liquor laws and regulations mandated by the State of Illinois and local authorities, specifically the Village of Glen Ellyn. Maintaining cleanliness and operational readiness of all concession equipment such as coffee makers, ice machines, refrigerators, and concession carts is a critical aspect of this role, ensuring that the sales areas present well and comply with health and safety standards.
In addition to beverage sales, the bartender will be tasked with setting up the sales area in a manner that aesthetically showcases the products and restocking inventory between events. Accurate record-keeping of concession sales and cash reconciliations aligned with Box Office attendance is essential for proper accounting and event management. The position requires a customer service orientation focused on prompt, friendly interactions that heighten customer satisfaction throughout the event duration. Periodically, the bartender may also serve food and perform cleaning and lock-up duties as prescribed by institutional policies.
