The CHB Manager role is a critical leadership position tasked with overseeing all customs brokerage operations within the organization. The primary function requires the individual to perform all duties in strict adherence to government regulations, ensuring that all U.S. Customs related activities within the department are conducted accurately and efficiently. Beyond compliance, this role demands strong supervisory skills as it involves managing and mentoring a team of customs brokerage professionals. The CHB Manager is responsible for ensuring the department meets or exceeds standards related to filing entries, cargo dispatch, billing accuracy, and customer service.
This role entails a deep understanding of the various facets of customs operations, including billing processes, Customs compliance mandates, Importer Security Filing (ISF), and applicable corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The successful candidate will not only manage day-to-day customs operations but will also play a strategic role by troubleshooting complex operational and billing issues, making sound decisions under pressure, and prioritizing multiple tasks effectively. Additionally, they are tasked with delegating workloads responsibly within their team to maximize productivity and efficiency.
In addition to internal management, the CHB Manager will serve as a key liaison by attending customer meetings, managing assigned customer relationships, and identifying opportunities to enhance service quality and expand business prospects. Conducting regular audits of team entries and billing processes to ensure compliance and training effectiveness is also a vital part of this role. Candidates will require excellent knowledge of U.S. Customs Brokerage, proven ability using computer systems such as CargoWise and MS Office products, and possession of a current CHB License.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
