The Aircraft Resources Coordinator (ARC) position is a vital role within SAIC's Aircraft Resources Group, supporting the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems Combined Test and Evaluation Division (PEO IWS 1TE) located in Virginia Beach, VA. This full-time, day shift role is dedicated exclusively on-site and does not allow for remote work or travel beyond a maximum of 25 percent. Candidates must hold at least a Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain one. The Aircraft Resources Coordinator serves as the primary liaison and coordinator for both military and commercial air services including a broad spectrum of aerial vehicles such as tankers, transports, and tracking aircraft. In this key position, the ARC is responsible for developing and managing long-term military and commercial air service resource schedules to optimize operations, reduce costs, and support test and evaluation activities of naval combat systems. The role involves close coordination with NAVSEA Port Hueneme Division Test Officers and Project Officers to ensure smooth execution of test events, including planning and logistical support. The ARC supports testing of new shipboard weapons systems both on land and at sea, ensuring that aviation resources meet operational requirements and comply with relevant policies. The coordinator's duties include forecasting and coordination of aircraft stores and flight clearances vital to supporting Navy combat system tests, conducting briefings for project personnel and aircrew, providing daily flight schedules to range operations and project offices, and recording flight data for thorough statistical analysis. The ARC is also involved hands-on during test and evaluation events, providing aviation expertise, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and facilitating flight operations for both fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor of Science degree, at least two years of relevant experience, and a minimum of eight years as a U.S. Navy Pilot or Naval Flight Officer or the military equivalent from other service branches. Experience in a complex Department of Defense test and evaluation environment is essential. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with MS Office tools, technical writing, and oral presentation, alongside a remarkable ability to navigate physically challenging environments including ships at sea. Additionally, familiarity with fixed-wing tactical aircraft such as the F-16, F/A-18, or F-35 and experience with Air Force tanker scheduling is highly desirable.
