This position is integral to delivering hands-on and theoretical education in aviation, specifically flight and ground instruction, aligning with the college's goal of producing industry-ready graduates. Faculty members in this role are expected to maintain current knowledge of advancements in their discipline, pedagogical best practices, and learning theory, ensuring effective and engaging instruction. The role includes teaching aviation courses, developing and refining curriculum, assessing student learning outcomes, and collaborating on program reviews and promotional activities. Candidates must have at least a bachelor's degree, with a master's degree preferred, and hold active FAA certifications such as Certified Flight Instructor or Advanced Ground Instructor Certificates. The position offers a dynamic work schedule based on class needs and is compensated per contract terms typical to adjunct faculty roles. • Bachelor's degree required
• Master's degree preferred
• One year of teaching experience as a flight and or ground instructor with active FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate or FAA Advanced Ground Instructor Certificate
• Strong communication skills
• Post-secondary teaching experiences
• Work experiences in the discipline to be taught
• Knowledge of industry-related software and systems including industry certifications where appropriate
• Degrees must be from an accredited institution
