This job opening is for a 2nd Assistant Manager position at one of Natural Grocers' stores. This is a full-time role with a competitive hourly wage of $24.00, designed for a strong leader who excels in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. The person in this position will play a key role in ensuring that the store and its staff deliver world-class customer experiences by upholding the company’s customer service and operational standards. As the 2nd Assistant Manager, you will be trained on all management-related processes and serve as the leader and ambassador of the customer service experience at the store. Your leadership will be critical in coaching and inspiring the store crew, providing regular training, and fostering an environment where everyone can perform at their best. You will participate in hiring and developing team members, promoting from within, and helping each employee reach their full potential. By focusing on operational excellence and customer-focused service, you will help meet financial targets, manage inventory and shrink, ensure safety and compliance, and support store marketing efforts. The role demands hands-on involvement across all departments including body care, dairy/frozen, grocery, produce, receiving, and vitamins, providing you with a holistic understanding of store operations. You will help manage day-to-day challenges such as dealing with loiterers or emergency situations, ensuring that the store runs smoothly and safely. The expected work schedule includes evenings and weekends, reflecting the retail nature of the business.
